Myerscough considered his post-war paintings to be his serious creative work, regarding the perspectives he was best known for as being simply the application of good technique to convey unbuilt buildings, for architects who could not produce paintings themselves, in order to sell their ideas to clients.
Although an unknown aspect of Myerscough's work, he left a prolific collection of experimental abstract, colour study, subject and landscape paintings, none of which he attempted to exhibit or sell during his lifetime.
