Best known for his perspectives and draughtsmanship, Myerscough gained acclaim for his innovative and daring approach to paintings of, as yet, unbuilt buildings. He used techniques such as drawing night scenes, showing pale buildings dramatically floodlit against a dark sky, as well as employing design techniques to enhance the paintings, including modernist, stylised, trees and clouds to give the pictures his own distinctive signature.
